• Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) – at Skin Solutions the world renowned Dr. Vodder method of MLD is used on the face and neck only, to gently stimulate lymphatic circulation with slow and careful massage movements. This is a deeply relaxing treatment which promotes healing and can improve many chronic conditions, such as sinusitis, scleroderma, and acne, as well as relieving fluid congestion causing facial swelling, such as puffiness around the eyes. MLD is particularly useful in the management of extreme stress, and can be added as an extra benefit to the end of any facial treatment.

To help us analyse each client’s skin condition accurately we use sophisticated electronic skin diagnostic equipment. The Skinscope Ultraviolet Skin Scanner enables the client as well as the consultant to instantly see the extent of sun damage, congestion and inflammation in the skin. The Multi Skin Test Center® precisely reads the levels of pigment, erythema (inflammation), water and lipids in the skin through electronic probes, while showing a graphic illustration of the findings on the computer screen. These probes can also be used to measure the client’s progress in follow-up appointments (review consultations). Digital photographs are taken throughout each client’s treatment programme to help evaluate the levels of improvement achieved.

In all cases where clients are on prescriptions or are receiving medical treatments from their doctor, we adopt an integrated approach, giving priority to the medical aspect of the client’s care.
