Semi-permanent Make-up

Semi-permanent Make-up the ideal solution for anyone who wants to look and feel great without having to spends hours in front of the mirror. This revolutionary technique not only saves you valuable time, it also enhances your facial features and has a noticeable anti-ageing effect which lasts and lasts!

Many people have uneven, sparse or even completely absent eyebrows, for example, which can easily be reshaped and coloured to perfection by a skilled and artistic Semi-permanent Make-up Technician. Eyebrows are a major facial feature that frame the eyes and create expression. Misshapen or poorly defined eyebrows can make you look tired, angry or even ill, and having to constantly pencil them in is a chore you can do without.

Anyone can benefit from larger, more defined eyes with thicker looking lashes. The Eyelash Enhancement and Eyeliner techniques can achieve the look you want without the bother of daily make-up application and the risk of panda eyes due to exercise, swimming, allergies or just having a good cry! For a naturally defined look that is suitable for men and women of any age, Eyelash Enhancement is ideal as it creates the effect of dense lashes without a visible eyeliner. For a more dramatic, made-up look the Latino Eyeliner procedure can let you express your wild side!

Most women lose the fullness and colour of their lips with age. The Lip Blush and Liner technique can create amazing, younger looking lips in just a couple of hours that will outlast most injectable lip filler treatments! The Full Lip Colour treatment gives you the choice of either having a completely natural lip colour effect or any colour you desire for a more made-up “lipstick” look if you prefer.

Semi-permanent Make-up can also be used to camouflage small, light coloured skin imperfections, such as scars and vitiligo, and even to correct existing procedures, where, for example, you are dissatisfied with the colour or shape of previously treated eyebrows, eyes or lips.

How does it work?

Semi-permanent Make-up - also known as Permanent Cosmetics or Micropigmentation - is a form of shallow cosmetic tattooing in which pharmaceutical grade pigments are applied safely, and without danger of cross-contamination, to the upper dermis of the skin. This creates a perfectly groomed appearance which can be as soft or as bold as you choose.

How long does it last?

Once implanted, Semi-permanent Make-up is actually permanent, but the visible effect will fade over time. Most people find that a single re-touch treatment once every 12 to 18 months will refresh their procedure to look as good as new.

Does it hurt?

The pain factor is akin to having your eyebrows tweezed, but Tamara Double is an experienced and fully qualified Semi-permanent Make-up Artist who takes exceptional time and care over her clients’ comfort, creating a relaxed, no-rush atmosphere for each and every client, thereby eliminating any distress. She trained with Nouveau Contour – an internationally recognised leader in Permanent Cosmetics – whose professional standards and equipment technology are second to none in hygiene and precision, thereby helping to optimise the whole Semi-permanent Make-up experience.

Where do I start?

If you think that this might be for you, the next step is to arrange a consultation with Tamara by phoning Skin Solutions. During the consultation you can discuss colour and shape and have your desired effect pencilled in with great attention to detail. You will also receive a sensitivity patch test and be given some medical and consent forms to fill in before your procedure. There will be no obligation to commit yourself to a Semi-permanent Make-up procedure, however, should you decide to go ahead, the cost of the consultation will be deducted from the cost of your procedure.

Prices

As well as the price of the consultation, the procedure cost includes a free top-up treatment which must be taken between 1 and 3 months after the main procedure, to ensure that your new facial feature enhancement holds the pigment implantation for as long as possible.

  • Prices start at £200 for a single, full re-touch procedure and £450 for a full procedure with free top-up.
  • All camouflage and colour correction work must be priced individually. Prices start from £75.
